Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Newark, DE

Newark, DE (October 10, 2026) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday evening in the area of Library and East Delaware avenues, according to 6abc.

The crash happened around 7:20 p.m. Police said a man believed to be in his 70s was hit by the vehicle.

He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity had not been released as of Saturday.

Delaware Police said they are continuing to investigate the crash. No further details had been released.
