Driver Killed In Crossover Crash On Route 113 In Milford, DE

Milford, DE (October 14, 2026) – A 78-year-old man died Tuesday morning after his SUV left the roadway on South DuPont Boulevard, according to Milford Police.

Police said the crash happened around 9:55 a.m. on Route 113 just south of Old Shawnee Road. A 2011 Cadillac SRX was traveling southbound when it crossed the median into the northbound lanes for reasons that are still unknown.

According to police, the SUV kept going south in the northbound lanes before it struck a guardrail and left the road. It came to rest in a wooded area north of Marvel Road.

The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released his identity while they notify his family.

South DuPont Boulevard was closed for about two hours while investigators worked the scene and crews cleared the roadway.

The Milford Police Department’s Fatal Accident Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate the crash. No further details were available.
