75-Year-Old Bicyclist Airlifted After Crash in Ocean View, DE
Ocean View, DE (October 19, 2026) – A 75-year-old man was airlifted to Christiana Hospital after a bicycle crash Monday afternoon at the intersection of Marsters Drive and Golden Eagle Drive in Ocean View, according to First State Update.
Emergency crews were dispatched at about 4:15 p.m. to the scene. Fire and EMS personnel from the Millville Volunteer Fire Company responded along with paramedics to help the injured man.
Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 2 helicopter was also sent to the scene to help transport the man to the hospital in New Castle County.
Initial reports indicated that the bicyclist struck a parked vehicle. The extent of the man’s injuries had not been confirmed, and additional details about the crash were not immediately available.
