Units from the Oak Orchard and Long Neck facilities arrived to find a gold Toyota Camry and a black Ford Edge that had collided. Both vehicles sustained significant damage to their front-left sections.

Dover, DE – Bicyclist Seriously Hurt After Being Struck by SUV on Rte 13 at Bath St
Dover, DE (May 15, 2026) – A bicycle rider suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a northbound SUV struck him at the intersection of Route 13 and Bath Street in front of the Golden Eagle Diner on Thursday night, May 14. The crash happened at approximately 9:00 p.m.
The bicycle rider was crossing Route 13 toward the borough when the SUV hit him. Damage to the SUV appeared around the headlight assembly area, and the bicycle came to rest in the parking lot in front of the diner. The Dover Police Department did not close Route 13 but took up one northbound lane to conduct the investigation.
Investigators are currently looking into what happened before the crash. The identities of the rider and the SUV driver have not been released. The accident remains under active investigation.
