Newark, DE – Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on Pulaski Hwy
Newark, DE (January 19, 2026) – A three-vehicle crash on eastbound Pulaski Highway in Newark left one person dead and another injured on Friday, January 16, according to law enforcement authorities. Investigators confirmed a Hyundai Kona struck the rear of a stopped Kia Sportage in the left lane, near David Place. The impact pushed the Kia into a Subaru Outback ahead of it. The driver of the Hyundai, an 85-year-old man from New Castle, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died on Saturday, January 17.
The Hyundai passenger, an 83-year-old woman from Newark, was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. No injuries were reported among the occupants of the Kia or Subaru.
Delaware State Police are investigating the incident.
Lewes, DE – Injury Accident at Cedar Grove Rd & Robinsonville Rd
