Glasgow, DE (November 30, 2022) – A 45-year-old man from Maryland was killed in a wrong-way crash that took place on Sunday, November 27th. The accident happened just before 11:00 p.m. on Pulaski Highway near the intersection with Pleasant Valley Road.
According to authorities, 45-year-old Matthew Doran, of Elkton, was driving a Subaru Forester SUV eastbound in the westbound lanes of Pulaski Highway. Doran’s vehicle collided head-on with a Chevrolet Silverado traveling westbound. Doran died at the scene, while the driver of the Silverado was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Both motorists were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. There is no word on what caused the accident to occur. No other motorists were involved. The identity of the Silverado driver was not released.
The Delaware State Police Troop 2 is investigating the accident at this time. There is no further information available.
