Millsboro, DE (February 10, 2024) – Troopers with the Delaware State Police were dispatched to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in Millsboro on Tuesday, February 6th. The collision occurred in the northbound lanes of Route 1 on the Roth Bridge over the C&D Canal.
According to a report, the accident involved a construction truck and three passenger vehicles. The truck rolled over following the crash. The New Castle County Paramedics were among the emergency crews at the scene. Officials say that five people were injured due to the accident, including a 51-yaer old male driver of one of the cars involved. The 51-year-old man was taken to Christiana Hospital with serious head and potential internal injuries. He was listed in serious condition. Two other victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while the other two were treated at the scene but not transported.
There is no information at this time on how the accident took place or the identities of those involved. Police have not said whether any charges will be filed. An investigation is ongoing. No further details have been released.
