Georgetown, DE (September 15, 2025) – A deadly traffic crash occurred on Monday, September 15, involving a vehicle and a tractor-trailer along southbound Route 113 near Redden Road. Emergency personnel, including medics and the Delaware State Police Aviation Trooper 2, responded to the scene after reports of heavy entrapment.
First responders arrived to find one person trapped. Sussex County Technical Rescue Team was dispatched to the scene, but technical rescue and aviation units were eventually not needed.
