New Castle, DE (February 24, 2023) – Troopers with the Delaware State Police responded to the scene of an injury crash in New Castle on Friday morning, February 24th. The accident was reported just after 7:00 a.m. on New Castle Avenue near the intersection with Rodney Drive.
The accident involved two vehicles, which appeared to be a red SUV and a red sedan. One driver, a 52-year-old woman, was trapped inside of her car following the crash. The woman was extricated from her car by firefighters and was treated for serious injuries. A second victim was also treated for undisclosed injuries. The two motorists were transported to Christiana Hospital for further treatment. There is no word on what caused the accident to take place.
