Wilmington, DE (February 12, 2026) – A crash on the I-95 viaduct south of Wilmington left one person hurt late Thursday morning, Thursday, February 12. Emergency units responded after reports of a wreck involving multiple vehicles along the interstate.
Authorities said a stolen SUV was involved in the crash. Three teens were inside the vehicle, and two of them ran northbound on the highway after the crash before being taken into custody. The third remained at the scene with the damaged SUV.
A driver from another vehicle involved in the crash suffered injuries. Paramedics evaluated the person at the scene and took them to Christiana Hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening.
Crews worked to clear the roadway while handling the situation. The interstate remained shut down for about 30 minutes as responders managed the scene and ensured it was safe. Traffic in the area slowed as drivers were redirected around the closure.
