Milford, DE (November 2, 2025) – A fatal two-vehicle accident occurred late Friday evening, October 31, on South Dupont Highway near Tower Hill Road in Milford. The Delaware State Police responded to the scene shortly after 9:00 p.m. following reports of a serious collision involving two passenger vehicles.
According to an initial investigation, a Ford Fusion was traveling northbound along South Dupont Highway and entered the center crossover, preparing to turn left onto Tower Hill Road. At the same time, an Infiniti G37 was heading southbound in the right lane approaching the same intersection. Authorities said the Ford crossed into the path of the Infiniti, leading to a severe impact that forced the Ford off the west edge of the highway, where it struck a utility pole.
Emergency responders quickly arrived to assist those involved. The driver of the Ford sustained critical injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. His identity has not yet been released, pending notification of family members. The 19-year-old Milford man operating the Infiniti was also taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials from the Delaware State Police Troop 3 Collision Reconstruction Unit remained on-site for several hours to conduct a detailed investigation and clear debris from the scene. South Dupont Highway was closed for approximately four and a half hours while authorities examined evidence and ensured roadway safety.
We extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the victim during this difficult time. We also wish a full and speedy recovery to the injured driver.
