Dover, DE (September 20, 2025) – A serious motor vehicle collision occurred on Friday evening, September 19, at approximately 6:40 p.m. at the intersection of Persimmon Tree Lane and Leipsic Road, near the Dover Motor Speedway. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene and discovered at least one vehicle with significant entrapment, requiring an extended extrication process. According to officials, one patient was transported by ground ambulance to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for treatment of injuries.
