Roxana, DE (July 15, 2025) – A serious head-on collision involving multiple people happened Sunday evening, July 13, on Zion Church Road near Owl Drive and Deer Run Road in Sussex County. The crash was reported around 5:46 p.m. and caused three people to be taken to hospitals for medical treatment. Several others were checked at the scene by EMS but did not require hospital care.
Multiple fire and emergency teams quickly responded to the scene, including units from Roxana, Bethany Beach, Millville, Selbyville, Sussex County medics, and Delaware State Police Aviation Trooper 2. Although air support was requested, it was not needed.
First responders found the crash involved entrapment. Rescue crews worked to free those trapped and clear the wreckage. Two ambulances transported the injured patients to local hospitals for further treatment. Authorities have not disclosed the identities of the injured or the extent of their injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
