Seaford, DE (June 7, 2023) – A driver was hospitalized following a crash in Seaford on Monday, June 5th. The accident happened around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Concord Road and Baker Mill Road.
According to a report from the scene, a car and a dump truck were involved in a collision. As a result, the fully loaded dump truck ended up on top of the car. The impact crushed the car and left the driver trapped inside.
Seaford firefighters responded to the crash scene and extricated the victim in approximately 15 minutes. The man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the dump truck was not hurt in the crash. Neither driver was identified.
There were no other vehicles involved in the collision. It is unclear at this time if any charges will be filed in connection with the accident.
An investigation is underway. There is no further information available.
