Selbyville, DE (March 1, 2025) – A 60-year-old man lost his life in a head-on collision Wednesday afternoon, February 26, on Hudson Road, according to Delaware State Police.
The crash happened at approximately 2:44 p.m. north of Lynch Road. Authorities say a Jeep Gladiator was traveling southbound on Hudson Road when it collided head-on with a northbound Freightliner semi-tractor. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The Jeep’s driver, a Selbyville resident, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not yet released his identity as they notify his family. The semi-truck driver, a 60-year-old man from Dover, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The crash shut down Hudson Road for about four hours while authorities conducted an investigation and cleared the scene. Police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
