Milton, DE (December 16, 2023) – Troopers with the Delaware State Police were dispatched to the scene of a fatal car accident on Friday afternoon, December 15th. The accident took place in Milton around 1:30 p.m.
Authorities arrived at the intersection of Route 16 and Gravel Hill Road after receiving a report of the crash. According to investigators, a 57-year-old man from Lincoln was driving on Route 16 when, for unknown reasons, he veered off the road and hit a tree. The man was seriously hurt. A 60-year-old man in the rear seat of the vehicle was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. A 47-year-old Bridgeville man in the front seat of the vehicle was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries. No one involved in the crash has been identified. At this time, no further information has been released. The accident is still under investigation.
