Georgetown, DE (August 17, 2023) – The Delaware State Police were called to the scene of a car accident with injuries on Thursday morning, August 17th. The crash took place around 7:45 a.m. on East Trap Pond Road.
According to a report from troopers, a 32-year-old Georgetown man was driving a Subaru WRX eastbound on Trap Pond Road. At the same time, a 25-year-old woman from Laurel was driving a Jeep Patriot in the opposite direction. The Subaru driver turned left in front of the Jeep, causing a collision. The driver then left control of the Subaru and struck a Nissan Altima driven by a 25-year-old woman.
The Jeep driver sustained a broken shoulder in the crash, while the Subaru driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The Nissan driver was not injured but was cited for driving without a license and failing to carry insurance.
No one involved in the crash has been identified at this time. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed in connection with the crash. An investigation is underway.
