Greenville, DE (June 1, 2023) – Officials in the Greenville area were dispatched to the scene of a serious crash on Wednesday morning, May 31st. The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Kennett Pike near Buck Road and Presidential Drive.
According to a report from police, a pickup truck traveling northbound and a construction truck traveling southbound collided with each other. The driver of the pickup was trapped following the crash. Talleyville firefighters were able to extricate the victim, but he was rushed to Christiana Hospital in critical condition. There is no word on whether any other injuries were reported.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The southbound lanes of the road were closed for several hours to clean up a fluid spill caused by the crash.
There is no word on whether any charges are expected at this time. No further information is available.
