According to a report from the scene, the crash involved a pickup truck and a motorcycle. When rescue crews arrived, they found the 31-year-old male motorcyclist suffering from serious injuries to his extremities. The man was also believed to have internal injuries. He was treated at the scene before being rushed to Christiana Hospital for further treatment. There is no further update on his condition at this time. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the accident.
Police shut down the road following the accident. During this time, motorists were advised to avoid the area and to find an alternate route of travel if possible. The accident remains under investigation.
