Laurel, DE (November 23, 2022) – Police in Laurel were dispatched to the scene of a deadly accident on Tuesday, November 22nd. The accident happened just before 8:00 a.m. on Horsey Church Road.
According to a report from the Delaware State Police, a 29-year-old man from Salisbury was driving a car on Horsey Church Road when he collided head-on with a dump truck that was traveling in the opposite direction. The man suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the accident scene. His identity has not been released at this time. There were five occupants in the dump truck at the time of the accident. They were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the crash. The identities of the victims were not immediately released.
The crash remains under investigation at this time. There is no further information available.
