Millsboro, DE (September 15, 2022) – 
Police in Millsboro responded to the scene of a fatal car accident on Wednesday, September 14th. The collision took place just before 5:00 p.m. on Beaver Dam Road at the intersection with Indian Mission Road.
According to a report from the Delaware State Police, an 85-year-old man was operating a Ford F-150 when he came to a stop sign. The man then entered an intersection and collided with a Ford F-350 that was traveling northbound. The unidentified 85-year-old man was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. The driver of the F-350, a 35-year-old man from Lincoln, suffered minor injuries in the accident. His passenger, an 83-year-old Millsboro woman, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police closed the road for about three hours while the crash was investigated. Motorists were advised to avoid the scene and to find alternate routes of travel if possible.
No further information has been released at this time. An investigation is underway.
