Christiana, DE (May 5, 2022) – A female pedestrian was hurt after she was hit by a vehicle in Christiana on Wednesday, May 5th. The crash took place around 6:30 a.m. on Wilton Boulevard at the intersection with Old Forge Road.
New Castle County paramedics, along with police and the Christiana Fire Company all responded to the scene. Authorities report that the 55-year-old pedestrian was walking near the roadway when she was hit by a mid-sized sedan. Rescue crews arrived and treated the unidentified woman at the scene. She was then transported to a local hospital for treatment of a head injury and injuries to her extremities. The driver of the sedan was not identified and it is not clear if they remained at the scene following the collision.
Police are still investigating the crash. There is no further information available at this time.
