How Long Do I Have to File a Motorcycle Accident Lawsuit in Harrington, DE?

Although two years may seem like plenty of time, waiting can create problems for your claim. Some injuries take time to diagnose or fully understand. Delaying action leaves you less time to investigate the collision and prepare your case.
Along Harrington’s rural roadways, motorcyclists often share the road with tractor-trailers, farm vehicles, and heavy equipment. U.S. Route 13 and Delaware Route 14 carry local and commercial traffic. Larger vehicles can also raise questions about visibility and fault.
As more time passes, valuable evidence may become harder to preserve. Tire marks can fade, cameras may overwrite footage, and damaged vehicles may be repaired. People with relevant information may also forget important details.
Depending on who was involved, additional legal rules may affect your claim. Cases involving a government agency, public employee, or government-owned vehicle can raise notice and immunity issues. A lawyer can determine which requirements apply to your case.
During your physical recovery, tracking deadlines and collecting records can feel overwhelming. A personal injury lawyer can identify the filing period, request footage, and preserve vehicle information. An attorney can also help you avoid decisions that may weaken your claim.
