Laurel, DE (April 21, 2026) – A fatal bicycle crash claimed one life on Sunday, April 19, on Shiloh Church Road in Laurel, Delaware.
According to initial reports, the right front of a westbound Ford Explorer struck a bicycle also traveling westbound on Shiloh Church Road near Turkey Knob Road. The impact ejected the rider from the bicycle.
Emergency crews responded to the scene following reports of the crash. The bicyclist, who has not yet been identified, later died from his injuries at the hospital. The 75-year-old driver of the Explorer, a Delmar, Delaware resident, was not injured in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
