Wilmington, DE (February 4, 2026) – A fatal three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle was reported Tuesday evening in Wilmington. The incident occurred around 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, on South Maryland Avenue near Reamer Avenue.
According to information released by authorities, a Toyota Tacoma was stopped in the left eastbound lane of South Maryland Avenue. The driver was waiting to turn left onto Reamer Avenue at the time. A Dodge Ram was also stopped at the intersection, positioned at the stop sign on southbound Reamer Avenue.
At the same time, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling westbound in the left lane of South Maryland Avenue. As the Toyota began its left turn, the motorcycle struck the passenger side of the truck. The impact caused the Toyota to spin and collide with the front of the Dodge.
The motorcyclist, identified as a 29-year-old man from Wilmington, was taken to a local hospital. He later died from his injuries. His identity has not been released pending notification of family members.
The driver of the Toyota, a 32-year-old man from Wilmington, and the driver of the Dodge, a 66-year-old man from Newark, did not report being hurt. No additional injury details were released.
