Clayton, DE (November 18, 2025) – A young man lost his life after a pedestrian crash on Tuesday, November 18, along Wheatleys Pond Rd in Clayton. The crash happened around 10:20 a.m. when a Chevrolet Silverado traveling south left its lane and hit a pedestrian walking with his bicycle on the shoulder.
Troopers said the victim, a 19-year-old man from Clayton, died at the scene. Authorities are not releasing his name until his family is notified. The driver of the Silverado, a 64-year-old man from Smyrna, was not hurt.
