
Wilmington, DE (September 6, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to a crash involving an overturned vehicle at the intersection of East Chestnut Hill Road and Salem Church Road on Thursday morning, September 4.
The collision occurred at approximately 8:39 a.m. and prompted the dispatch of New Castle County Paramedics and the Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company. Upon arrival, responders found two vehicles involved in the accident. Three individuals were evaluated and treated at the scene before being transported to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.
A 49-year-old woman sustained a leg injury, a 6-year-old girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and a woman, approximately 35 years old, was also treated and transported for further care. All three victims received treatment from New Castle County Paramedics aboard Aetna ambulances.
The Delaware State Police are investigating the cause of the crash. Additional agencies on the scene included New Castle County EMS, Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company, and Delaware State Police.
