Dover, DE (August 8, 2025) – A 68-year-old Dover man suffered life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle crash on Tuesday evening, August 5. The accident happened around 6:52 p.m. at the intersection of Forrest Avenue and Marsh Creek Lane.
According to the Dover Police Department, the man was riding a 2024 Harley Davidson westbound on Forrest Ave. At the same time, a 22-year-old driver in a 2019 Ram Promaster was stopped on Marsh Creek Ln. For reasons still under investigation, the Promaster entered the intersection, colliding with the motorcycle.
Officers and emergency crews arrived to find the motorcyclist with severe injuries. He was first taken to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment. Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was later airlifted to a hospital in New Castle County.
Police have not filed any charges at this time. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
