Rollover Accidents in Millsboro and Sussex County
Rollover crashes in Millsboro and across Sussex County happen more often than many realize. These types of crashes can be especially dangerous because they often cause serious injuries. Even when a rollover causes minor injuries, it can still lead to long-term pain and suffering. Delaware’s roadways, especially rural areas like Sussex County, see a fair number of rollover crashes each year.
Speeding is one of the most common causes of rollover crashes. Drivers who go too fast, especially on curves or back roads like Hollyville Rd, can lose control and flip their vehicle. Distracted driving is another common cause. When drivers are not focused, they can easily veer off the road or overcorrect, leading to a rollover. Some crashes happen because of mechanical problems, such as tire blowouts, or because of bad weather making roads slippery.
In rollover crashes, injuries range from cuts and bruises to broken bones and head trauma. Even with a seatbelt, the violent motion of a rollover can cause painful injuries. After a crash, it is common for victims to need weeks or months to heal. This is why it is important for injured victims to speak with a Delaware personal injury lawyer after a crash.
At Murphy & Landon, our car accident lawyer can help victims recover the money they need to pay medical bills, cover lost wages, and handle other expenses. Compensation for rollover crash victims may include money for medical treatment, physical therapy, and even pain and suffering. In some cases, victims may also recover damages for lost earning capacity if they cannot work like before. Each case is different, which is why legal advice is helpful after a crash.
