New Castle, DE (May 27, 2024) – Officials in New Castle responded to the scene of an injury crash on Sunday, May 26. The accident happened in the 2900 block of Route 9.
According to authorities, a car and a scooter collided with one another. There is no word on the cause of the collision at this time. Paramedics were summoned to the crash site and found the scooter driver suffering from serious injuries. The victim was treated at the scene and was then rushed to Christiana Hospital for further treatment. Their condition has not been released. There were no other injuries reported as a result of the accident. Neither the scooter driver nor the occupants of the car have been identified. An investigation remains ongoing at this time, and there is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed.
