Wilmington, DE (July 7, 2023) – Officials in Wilmington were at the scene of a serious crash involving a pedestrian on Sunday morning, July 2nd. The crash took place around 1:20 a.m. at the intersection of North Market Street and 39th Street.
Police say that the 35-year-old victim was walking near the area when he was hit by a car. The man, who was not identified, suffered serious head and internal injuries as a result of the accident. Paramedics treated him at the scene. He was then taken to Christiana Hospital for further treatment. There is no word on his condition at this time. The driver of the car involved fled the scene before police could arrive.
