Rehoboth Beach, DE – Two Motorcyclists Hurt in Crash with Minibus on Rte. 1

Rehoboth Beach, DE (May 13, 2023) – The Delaware State Police responded to the scene of a serious motorcycle accident on Friday night, May 12th. The crash occurred just after 9:30 p.m. on Route 1 in the area of Bay Vista Road.

According to a DSP report, a motorcycle was approaching the intersection where a minibus was stopped at a red light. The motorcycle collided with the back of the bus, ejecting both occupants from the bike. The driver of the motorcycle and a passenger suffered serious injuries. Both motorcyclists were rushed to a local hospital, where they received further treatment. The victims were both listed in critical condition. Neither rider has been identified at this time.

None of the occupants of the minibus were injured in the accident. There were no other vehicles involved.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash. There is no further information available at this time.
