Millsboro, DE (August 30, 2022) – The Delaware State Police were at the scene of a serious hit-and-run crash in Millsboro on Monday night, August 29th. The accident happened around 9:00 p.m. on John J. Williams Highway near Legion Road.
According to police, a bicyclist was traveling westbound on Williams Highway when they were hit by a passing vehicle. The bicyclist was thrown from their bike and came to rest in the roadway. The vehicle fled the scene following the crash. Paramedics arrived and assisted the injured rider before he was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. There is no description of the vehicle or the suspect at this time.
The crash resulted in the road being closed while police conducted an investigation. There is no further information available.
