Hartly, DE (August 26, 2022) – The Delaware State Police was called to the scene of a deadly crash in Hartly on Wednesday, August 24th. The accident took place just after 5:00 p.m. on Brittney Lane at the intersection with Halltown Road.
According to a report from troopers, a 67-year-old woman was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection when she left the stop sign and entered the path of a Dodge am truck. The woman was critically injured in the crash. She was transported to a nearby hospital where she late died. Her passenger was transported to a nearby hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries. No additional injuries were reported and no other vehicles were involved. Drivers were asked to avoid the area while an investigation was conducted.
