I am a trial lawyer specializing in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice and nursing home neglect. My practice is focused on helping people who have been injured by the negligence of others obtain the fair compensation they deserve. All too often, when a person is injured they are confused about what happened, why it happened, who is responsible and what to do next. I am committed to providing the personal attention my clients need to get their questions answered and to help them better understand the law and get the compensation they need and deserve. I enjoy representing clients in all of the trial courts in Delaware, including the U.S. District Court of Delaware. Since 2011, I have the pleasure of serving as Senate attorney for the Delaware Senate Majority Caucasus drafting legislation and providing counsel and advice throughout the legislative process. I spend time volunteering at the Office of Child Advocate representing dependent, neglected, and abused children in Family Court proceedings. I am an active member of the Superior Court Civil Rules Committee and a member of professional organizations including the Richard S. Rodney Inn of Courts, the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, a Triad member of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association and the Delaware Bar Association.
I received my law degree from Widener University School of Law where I served as Vice President of the Moot Court Honor Society and was awarded the Order of Barristers for excellence in courtroom advocacy. While in law school, I prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanor and felony criminal cases for the Office of the District Attorney of Chester County in Pennsylvania. After law school, I served as a law clerk to the Honorable President Judge Jan R. Jurden and the Honorable Calvin L. Scott, Jr. of the Delaware Superior Court.
I received my Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech with a minor in Legal Studies. I am a proud Hokie fan and look forward to each fall football season with my husband and two young children.
I am a partner at Murphy & Landon and am admitted to practice law in Delaware and Pennsylvania. I am also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Court of Delaware.
