Born in Wilmington, Delaware in 1956, Jonathan Parshall received his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware, his M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business of Columbia University and his law degree magna cum laude from Widener University School of Law. After clerking in the Delaware Court of Chancery for the Honorable Maurice A. Hartnett, III (later a Justice for the Delaware Supreme Court), he joined Murphy & Landon in 1992.
Mr. Parshall's practice is remarkably varied. He has tried and won personal injury cases, discrimination cases, construction defect cases and commercial disputes. He played a leading role in the Hercules v. Aetna case, a multimillion dollar insurance coverage case that was tried to a Delaware jury for two full months. His work in insurance law has earned him a national reputation in that filed.
